WB6 CIF Supports Dialogue on International Economic Position at MEPS 2026
Belgrade, Serbia | 3-4 November 2026
The Third Annual Conference MEPS 2026 – International Economic Position of Serbia, held on 3–4 November in Belgrade, provided a platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities shaping Serbia’s international economic relations and its participation in global markets.
The Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF) participated as a conference partner, supporting the broader dialogue on economic cooperation, internationalisation and stronger integration of Western Balkan economies into international markets.
Discussing Internationalisation and Global Market Opportunities
Under the theme “Potential for Greater Participation in the Global Economy”, the two-day programme brought together representatives of institutions, the business community and academia.
The first day, hosted at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, focused on institutional support for the internationalisation of the economy, experiences in foreign markets and opportunities for Serbian companies in the changing global economy.
Discussions also addressed regional perspectives on market selection and successful market entry, with participants exchanging views on opportunities across Europe, Asia and Australia, Africa, and North and South America.
The second day, hosted by the Institute of Economic Sciences, focused on Serbia’s competitiveness in the digital economy, including online shopping and access to global markets, as well as international investment and trade relations.
Strengthening Regional Cooperation and International Engagement
MEPS 2026 provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the international economic position of Serbia, the role of institutional support in internationalisation and the conditions needed for stronger participation in global markets.
As a conference partner, WB6 CIF supports platforms that encourage dialogue and cooperation among regional institutions, chambers and the wider business community. Such exchanges contribute to identifying shared priorities and exploring opportunities for stronger economic connections across the Western Balkans and with international markets.
The conference was organised with the co-funding of the European Union.
