Western Balkan Companies Participate in TriestEspresso Expo 2026

Representatives of companies from the Western Balkans participated in TriestEspresso Expo 2026, held from 21 to 23 October in Trieste, Italy. The visit was organised by the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF) under the EU-funded project “EU Support to the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum for the Development of a Common Regional Market.”
TriestEspresso Expo brings together businesses involved in coffee production, processing and distribution, alongside manufacturers of equipment and technology. Participation offered Western Balkan companies an opportunity to explore international market developments, discover new technologies and connect with businesses operating in the coffee industry.
Exploring Coffee Market Trends
The programme included presentations and discussions on coffee market trends and consumer preferences across Central and Eastern Europe. Participants gained insights into changes in consumption patterns, developments in the hospitality sector and trends in professional espresso machines, including technological innovation and the growing adoption of fully automatic equipment.
These sessions provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn more about developments shaping the regional and international coffee market.
B2B Meetings and New Business Connections
The programme also featured bilateral business-to-business (B2B) meetings organised through the TEE Brokerage programme, with the support of the Enterprise Europe Network.
The meetings enabled participants to present their businesses, exchange information and connect with potential business partners, distributors and suppliers. They also provided opportunities to explore future cooperation and identify possibilities for developing business relationships in international markets.
Supporting the Internationalisation of Western Balkan Businesses
Participation in TriestEspresso Expo 2026 formed part of WB6 CIF’s efforts to support the internationalisation of companies and strengthen regional business cooperation.
By facilitating access to international trade fairs, market insights and business networks, WB6 CIF helps Western Balkan companies explore new markets, establish connections and identify opportunities for cooperation beyond their domestic markets.
The initiative was organised under the EU-funded project “EU Support to the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum for the Development of a Common Regional Market,” supporting WB6 CIF’s work to strengthen regional business connections and promote the international engagement of companies across the Western Balkans.
