From Local Roots to Global Markets: Unlocking the Region’s Potential

The Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF) and The Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, are organizing the Brezovica Economic Forum 2025, a high-level regional gathering aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, fostering new investment opportunities and advancing the European integration of the Western Balkan economies.

Held under the theme “From Local Roots to Global Markets: Unlocking the Region’s Potential”, the Forum will bring together distinguished leaders from business communities, international institutions, financial organizations and academia to exchange ideas and define practical approaches for unlocking the region’s full economic potential.

The discussions will focus on creating a favourable environment for investments, improving access to finance, and supporting the Western Balkan economies on their path toward integration into the European Union’s Single Market. Participants will include presidents of the chambers of commerce from all six Western Balkan economies, high representatives of the European Union, CEFTA, the Regional Cooperation.

Special attention will also be given to the new avenues for EU integration and the ways in which the Western Balkans can better align with EU value chains. Representatives of CEFTA, RCC, and international financial institutions such as KfW will discuss how ongoing initiatives like the Single Market Highway, the EU Growth Plan, and the Common Regional Market can support businesses and strengthen regional competitiveness.

The Forum will also highlight access to finance as a key precondition for development, with representatives of regional central banks and investment institutions addressing the transition from commercial to investment-oriented banking models and the creation of new funding mechanisms for regional businesses.

The event will conclude with closing remarks by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, summarizing the key messages and shared commitments towards a more integrated, competitive, and sustainable regional market.
