
Seminar on Artificial Intelligence Development in the Western Balkans Held in Podgorica

The seminar “Conditions for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Western Balkans: Where Do We Stand and What Lies Ahead?” was successfully held at the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, in cooperation with the WB6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF) and with the support of the European Commission.
The event brought together over 25 representatives from the business community, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as stakeholders interested in the application of artificial intelligence in business.
Exploring AI for Competitiveness and EU Integration
The seminar focused on the role of artificial intelligence in strengthening business competitiveness and supporting the region’s preparation for European Union market conditions.
Key discussions addressed:
- the Common Regional Market Action Plan 2025–2028
- alignment with the EU AI Act
- the current positioning of the Western Balkans in global AI development
Participants explored both opportunities and challenges related to the adoption of AI, as well as policy recommendations aimed at improving the regulatory and innovation landscape.
Expert Insights on AI and Market Trends
The seminar was delivered by Miloš Vuković, economic consultant and founder of Fidelity Consulting, who provided insights into the application of AI in public finance, market analysis, and business processes.
His presentation combined macroeconomic analysis, regulatory perspectives, and practical use of digital tools, highlighting the importance of data-driven decision-making and transparency in modern business environments.
Strengthening Regional Cooperation in AI Development
A strong emphasis was placed on the need to enhance regional cooperation and strategic planning in the field of artificial intelligence.
The discussion highlighted the importance of developing policies, strengthening institutional capacities, and fostering collaboration between businesses and public institutions to support AI adoption across the Western Balkans.

This seminar was organized within the framework of the EU-supported project implemented by WB6 CIF, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the Western Balkans economies and preparing them for integration into the EU market.
